This group even fucks up multiple timelines because Goku exists. Gero's want for vengeance against Goku for taking out the Red Ribbon Army in Dragon Ball. Androids 16 & 19 and Cyborgs 17, 18, and 20/Dr. Frieza and King Cold coming to Earth? Revenge against Goku. Vegeta, and Nappa? Learn of the Dragon Balls through Raditz's scouter. Raditz? Raditz is out searching for potential allies and knows where his brother is.
Piccolo Jr.? Goku killed Demon King Piccolo. Demon King Piccolo? Goku never seriously put Emperor Pilaf's group down. Goku comes to the 100% accurate realization that all that shit, with the weird exception of the first confrontation with Frieza, that has happened to him, his family, and his friends is a direct, or indirect, result of Goku even existing. This is the only one I'll actually defend. It gets so bad to the point where it's like they're completely separate characters. Don't get me wrong, the Moro Arc really helped heal his character, Toyo really surprised me in a good way with his decisions for Vegeta in the Moro Arc, but I still do think the character requires more attention due to the dumb changes that were inflicted upon Vegeta's character in DBS.ĭBS Goku though? My lord, don't get me started, he's literally unlikeable at times, especially when you compare him to his old DBZ self. Super literally regressed Vegeta so much, that the character is overall still suffering from those regressions. He still honors where he came from, along with his Saiyan blood, but understands that his days as a battle thirsty Saiyan gone and that he commits to settling down with bulma and their two kids once and for all, until of course the bad guys of GT decided to show themselves. Him accepting help from his family and friends. Him calling Earth his home and actually treating earth like his home. Him cutting his mustache because his daughter didn't like it. Him cutting his hair for a more human kind of look. He started to embrace his life on Earth a whole lot more, and examples of that would be him ditching his Saiyan gear for a more human tradition kind of clothing. He's decided to stop chasing Goku and actually commits to that decision. GT Vegeta to me, is what I imagine is a natural progression of the character after the end of Z. Click to shrink.Crazy how GT seemed to understand Vegeta's character more than Super does.
